Javier Rodríguez completed his master’s degree in chemical engineering at the University of Granada located in Spain. During his time at University, Rodríguez pursued research as a R&D technician focused on water treatment. After University of Granada, Rodríguez pursued a career in Cotton South S.L. as a R&D technician, where he increased his knowledge of fibres and cellulose in the paper industry. During the pandemic, Rodríguez decided to pursue his PhD and therefore, moved to the UK to study in collaboration with FiberLean Technologies, to develop a sustainable manufacturing process of micro-fibrillated cellulose.
