Mariana Frias de Albuquerque

Mariana is a PhD candidate in Chemical Engineering at the University of British Columbia (Canada) under the supervision of Dr. Heather Trajano and Dr. Boris Stoeber. She is currently researching the effect of enzymatic hydrolysis on producing microfibrillated cellulose from mechanical pulp as a part of the Energy Reduction in Mechanical Pulping group. Mariana obtained a Master’s degree in Engineering of Wood and Bio-based Materials from Laval University (Canada) and a Bachelor’s in Engineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (Brazil).
