Jimmy H. Jong

Jimmy H. Jong received the B.Eng. degree in 1991 from Concordia University, Montreal, Canada, and the M.A.Sc. degree in 1993, and the Ph.D. degree in 1998 from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Toronto, Toronto, Canada.,He is a Research Leader in the Cellulosic Biomaterial Program. He worked at the Atomic Energy Canada in 1992. He also worked for Institute of Paper Science and Technology between 1998–2001 as an Associate Engineer. He joined FPInnovations (formerly Paprican) in 2001 as a Research Engineer. He is currently the Research Group Leader of the Manufacturing Group in Biomaterials Program. His research interests include the areas in forming, curl, and linting related to the paper machine wet-end and in manufacturing cellulosic biomaterials.
